My Friends

I have recently become aware of an amazing organization that is serving the most neediest members of our community. It is called the Bay Area Crisis Nursery. As a 100% community funded organization it needs our help. I want to tell you more about this incredible place.

For 32 years, the Crisis Nursery has been providing free, confidential 24 hour residential care for the children of parents in our area who love their families but temporarily can’t cope with life’s emergencies. Accepting no government support, the Nursery is privately funded by the Bay Area communities to provide a safe, loving and nurturing home for our precious little ones while their parents work through life’s challenges. Over 1,000 times a year local children are admitted to this House of Wonders where miracles of hope reborn occur every day. The childrenstay at the Nursery until their parents work through the crisis in their lives. The average stay is 5 days, 24 hours a day.

The Crisis Nursery is unique in the Bay Area and takes in children from all of the counties. The Nursery staff and a network of 100’s of volunteers offer a lifeline to our most vulnerable members. So many families have no other family or community support to turn to when sudden illness strikes or when Mom and Dad lose their jobs and everyone becomes homeless. The Nursery is there for them until they get back on their feet.

This “people helping people” organization needs your help and support in these days of tough financial times. It is vital that it keep it’s doors open. Your donation will contribute to the prevention of child abuse in our local community and make the Bay Area more nurturing for our future leaders.

I know you have many friends who care for children as much as you do. Please take the time to forward this email to 5 of them and ask that in addition to donating themselves, they forward it onto 5 of their friends so that the mission of the Crisis Nursery becomes more well known among those who can help.

A hundred years from now it won't matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove. But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a CHILD.

The Crisis Nursery is located at 1506 Mendocino Drive, Concord, CA, 94521 and can be reached on 925-685-6633.
